JACKSON, Miss. -
Ole Miss defensive lineman
Michael Bozeman was honored this
week by the Jackson Touchdown Club as the Most Valuable Senior on the 2005 Rebel
team. A 6-2, 290-pound nose tackle from Hawkinsville, Ga., Bozeman started all
11 games for Coach
Ed Orgeron's Rebels during the 2005
season. During his senior campaign, Bozeman ranked fifth on the team in tackles
with 51, including 30 solo hits. He was credited with 5.5 tackles for losses of
16 yards, had one QB sack for a minus six yards, broke up one pass, had four QB
hurries, and forced one fumble. He earned Rebel Quarterback Club Player of
the Week honors four times during his final season, twice as Defensive Player of
the Week (vs. Alabama and Kentucky) and twice as the Trench Award recipient (vs.
Memphis and Mississippi State). Bozeman had 117 career tackles and started
21 of his 37 games as he earned four letters as a Rebel. Other career totals
included 16.5 tackles behind the line for a minus 56 yards, three QB sacks for a
minus 28 yards, three caused fumbles, one pass defensed and 10 QB pressures.
Celebrating the program's 60th anniversary, the Jackson Touchdown Club Most
Valuable Senior Award is one of the oldest and most prestigious honors presented
by a quarterback or touchdown club in the southeastern United States.
Michael has been named to the
Associated Press (A.P.) All-SEC team as an Honorable Mention Defensive lineman
Michael Bozeman is a 2001 Graduate that lettered in Football, Basketball and
Track. He is currently attending Ole Miss

sack in the Ole Miss Rebels' SEC
win over the Kentucky Wildcats.

included 1 TFL (tackle for loss) as the Rebels
defeated The Citadel 27-7.
