10/23/05 Presbyterian Blue Hose middle linebacker Antwan Thomas had a career day yesterday in the Blue Hose 45-24 win over Mars Hill.  This is a quote from the official Presbyterian web site:

"Defensively, the Blue Hose were led by redshirt freshman linebacker Antwan Thomas (Hawkinsville, Ga.) who tallied a career-high 17 total stops including 2.5 tackles for loss (-13), and one sack (-9)"

10/9/05:  Antwan Thomas, starting linebacker for the #23 ranked Presbyterian Blue Hose came up huge yesterday as they knocked off #11 Carson-Newman by a score of 37-3.  Just check out Twan's stats from yesterday that come directly from a writeup on the Blue Hose Official Web Site.   He becomes the 4th former Red Devil to score a TD on the college gridiron this year (Elijah Clark for Benedict, Charles Johnson for UGA, and Dedric Smith for Valdosta State are the others):

After scoring runs from red-shirt senior quarterback Zach Ellis (Tifton, Ga.) and Reeder, red-shirt freshman linebacker Antwan Thomas (Hawkinsville, Ga.) returned a fumble for a score as the first half expired.  All three scores came off C-N turnovers in the last two minutes of the first half.

Thomas’ 12 tackles, two sacks and an interception led a Blue Hose defense that held the Eagles to 270 yards total offense and recorded four sacks.  PC had 309 yards of total offense and the two teams combined to punt 13 times.  Both teams struggled on third down as C-N was 1-for-11 and the Blue Hose were 2-for-14.
