Devils Drop 3 out of 4 Games to Perry Panthers

On Tuesday, November 24th, the Devils hosted the Perry Panthers in four games. The Junior Varsity Lady Devils defeated the JV Lady Panthers in the first game of the day by a score of 27 to 15. The second game of the day saw the JV Red Devils fall to the JV Panthers by a score of 37 to 56.

The third game of the day was played between the Lady Devils and the Lady Panthers. At the end of the first quarter, the Lady Panthers were leading 16 to 7. When the buzzer sounded to end the second quarter, Hawkinsville was down 20 to 34. The third quarter came to a close with the Lady Devils trailing 22 to 52. The final score was Hawkinsville 33, Perry 69.

The Lady Devils combined to pull down 26 rebounds, 17 of those being defensive rebounds. Leading rebounders were Ykeshia Baker with 14, and Sharinea Coley with 4. The Lady Devils gave 4 assists, led by Kamara Bembry with 2. Hawkinsville had 11 steals. The team was led by Ykeshia Baker with 3 steals and Sharinea Coley and Taquonda Brown with 2 each. The Lady Devils blocked 4 shots, all by Ykeshia Baker. The team had 12 defensive deflections. Hawkinsville scored 4 points on turnovers and allowed 11 points on turnovers. The Lady Devils had one player in double figures.

The fourth game of the day saw the Red Devils facing the Panthers. The first quarter ended with the Panthers leading 16 to 10. At the end of the second quarter, Hawkinsville trailed 20 to 40. When the buzzer sounded to end the third quarter, the Red Devils were behind 26 to 46. The final score was Hawkinsville 36, Perry 59.

The Red Devils combined to pull down 32 rebounds, 19 of those being defensive rebounds. Leading rebounders were Deion Colson with 7, and Darrien Brown, Jr. and Brandon Adams with 5 apiece. The Red Devils gave 7 assists, led by Camaron Moses with 3. Hawkinsville had 9 steals. The team was led by Darrien Brown, Jr. with 5 steals. The Red Devils blocked 2 shots. The team had 10 defensive deflections. Hawkinsville scored no points on turnovers but allowed 9 points on turnovers. The Red Devils had one player in double figures.

Pulaski County Middle School Game Schedule

The teams will travel to Ocilla to face the Irwin County Indians on Thursday, December 3rd for a pair of games beginning at 4:00pm. On Monday, December 7th, the teams will head to Cordele to face the Crisp County Cougars for a pair of games beginning at 4:00pm. Thursday, December 10th, will see the Devils on the road again traveling to Rochelle to face the Wilcox County Patriots for a pair fo games beginning at 4:00pm



HHS Game Schedule

The Devils will travel to Eastman to face the Dodge County Indians on Friday, December 4th. That day will have a Junior Varsity Red Devil game beginning at 4:00 p.m. and a pair of Varsity games beginning at 7:00 p.m. On Tuesday, December 8th, the Devils will head to Cochran to face the Bleckley County Royals. The JV will play a pair of games beginning at 3:00 p.m. The Varsity games will begin at 6:00 p.m. On Friday, December 11th, the Devils will host the Lee County Trojans. The JV games are scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. with the Varsity games beginning at 7:00 p.m.
