Devils
Set School Rushing Record
On Friday night the Red Devils broke the school record for yards rushing by a team in one game with 459 yards. It
eclipses the old record of 433 yards set in 1998. The offensive line of Martavius Jenkins, Evan Anderson, Mart
McLeod, T.J. Belcher, Taylor Sapp, Dylan Folds along with Trevis Lawson and all the backups deserve a huge pat on
the back for their performance. Leading the ground attack for the Devils was Brandon Adams, in his first career
start at tailback, with 19 carries for 212 yards and 2 TDs. Sophomore Jonathan Wright added 133 yards on 16 carries
and 2 TDs. Fullback J'Vonne Thomas enjoyed his best night with 9 carries for 94 yards and 2 TDs. Sam Jackson-West
added 2 carries for 24 yards along with 1 TD.
On a related note, senior Tevin Wilcox had his best game as the Devils' return man with 4 punt returns for 108
yards.
